The sound which Catrin Finch and Seckou Keita create in fusing Manding Kora music from West Africa and ancient melodies from Wales is captivating! The Senegalese-Welsh collaboration culminated in the production of the brilliant album ‘Clychau Dibon‘, a nearly perfect melange of two music cultures that seem so different but yet sound so beautiful when blended together.
Finch is a globally celebrated Harpist, while Keita is a master of the West African Kora. Together they create music that transcends cultural boundaries, showing once again how valuable such collaborations are. At the end, our musical cultures are not that much different and it seems that melodies can sometimes communicate much easier with each other than humans.
